Thompson narrows polling gap with Rudy
Following the formal (and long awaited) announcement of Fred Thompson for President, the former Tennessee Senator has jumped into 2nd place in most polls-- trailing Rudy by a single digit in a CNN poll.

It is going to be interesting to see where the numbers fall after the playground clears out a little.
I kept hearing the parrots repeating a certain party leader that "Thompson doesn't have the stomach" for a Presidential run.
Hmmm, apparently he got in a long nap and took some tums.
